We're pleased to have our first "Expert's Comments" on "The Picture Frame Guide". They are from Jim Harrold, Executive Editor at WOOD Magazine. Some of his comments were; Click Here for More Details
"The 132 page publication is a fountain of useful dimensional information for the guy interested in making picture frames as small as 3" x 4" to 30" x 40", both flat frames and those having compound miters, regardless of stock width. Rabbet dimensions are also included."
"Mix it all up, and you have a no-brainer, time saving approach to making the home's number one accessory. No need to think about working through a lot of trial cuts.... get your frames right the first time, every time. As long as your saw is set up for accuracy, you're there."
"It's about having the information instantly at hand to cut any kind of rectangular picture frame you need. For that reason, it serves as a handy workshop reference, to be used time and again."

It took two years to get finished, but it was well worth the effort! When "The Picture Frame Guide" was started, I didn't realize how much time (and effort) could be put into a reference on making picture frames.
About one thousand computer drawings later, I am pleased to tell you that there has never been a book so informative on such a simple topic. In it you will find:
Some very easy to follow articles (with Illustrations) will teach you how to easily plan and make moldings, and how to build both flat and compound frames using only the table saw and table-mounted router.
848 Scale Illustrations in 29 standard frame sizes from 3" x 4" to 30" x 40" will show you exactly what your finished frame will look like before you start to build it.

Picture Frame Dimension Charts
When you've decided which frame you would like to build, refer to the Dimension Charts to take all of the headaches out of calculating about how much material you will need for the frame. On these pages, we have already calculated this for you. Once you know the frame size and molding width, these easy to follow charts will enable you to easily determine the maximum amount of material you will need. They show you exactly how long the sides need to be cut to (regardless of the rabbet width) on the outside of the molding. With "The Picture Frame Guide", you don't need to worry about getting the length you need at the rabbet....isn't that convenient!
